You really need to work on your egg-breaking skills. It's not as if you're making a mess--no bits of shell in the pan, no raw egg white drizzled on the counter. But aesthetically speaking, those empty eggshells look destroyed. Giada would not approve.

When I was about ten-years-old, I was mesmerized by the way Tom Hanks cracked eggs in the movie Turner and Hooch. He's just had sex with his love interest, and they go into the kitchen and she's wearing one of his buttoned-up shirts and panties. Tom Hanks decides to whip up some eggs. He cracks them--quickly but perfectly--with one hand while he's talking. At ten years old, I thought that egg-cracking was the sexiest thing in the world, and I decided if I met a man who could crack eggs with one hand, I'd have hit the jackpot.
